amp works alright should be much more powerful. consider it to be over rated. obviously it don't accept 0 gage wire so it is not a true 5000 watts at 1 ohm nore 3000 at 2 ohm. still a good amp, but probably better suited for the boss subs, which i now believe are also over rated. first amp shut down and smoked. replacement amp again went into protection mode and would not reset at least no smoke. the amp is good for the price, but dont parallel parallel your subs to a 1 ohm load stay at a 2 ohm with a series parallel set up.

THis is a amazing deck sony did a really good job with this one. Thier are so many sound adjustments and settings its nice im able to adjust it to the way i like it. I found this stereo at walmart after i had bought it and they are asking $170.00 i mean wow i didnt pay nearly that much for this kind of stereo and price you really cant beat it any where else. i havent had any problems with the deck i can play my ipods on it with no problem an it plays me cds with no problem. now all i need r new speakers and subs. An i did alot of research on this deck im a big stereo fan and love a good deck. I recently owned a kenwood i had bought for $120 and a pioneer i paid $145 for an this sony deck blows both of them out of the water. A few reviews i had read on her said its hard to get the face plate off an people are haveing problems with it. I have no problems with thiers a serten way to take face plates of an with a left side one your suppose to press the button to release the deck lock. Then hold down the button again as you pull it off to release the face plate lock. I hope this was help full o an read thru the manual after you install the deck it explains how to use everything and its pretty easy. Im definatly buying another one for my truck.

I use this as a bass knob in my dad's truck. Installation is easy, it works, and if used properly, you won't introduce distortion into the system through the use of this product.

Many amplifiers now come with a bass knob. These products are bass boosts. Generally speaking, using a bass boost in this fashion is asking for increased distortion and possibly amplifiers and speakers releasing magic smoke.

This product doesn't boost anything though. It takes the maximum undistorted volume (if you set your gain correctly!) and performs EQ cuts. Meaning if you're a backyard installer and you want to give your friends a cool little toy and don't want to deal with them constantly burning equipment, if you can set it up properly, this is a very good product. Turn the radio to the maximum undistorted volume, turn the knob all the way up, match the gain to the head unit's precut voltage. Its seriously that easy.

When I finally get My SMD Distortion Listener, gain setting will be infinitely easier.
